ThreeInside — Three Inside Up/Down

A harami confirmed by a third bar closing beyond the first body: the pause resolved, and in the new direction. Returns +1 up, −1 down.

ThreeInside(lookback, on=<source>)

on=	symbol	No	Source symbol. Defaults to the trade symbol. Reads open and close.

Formula

Bars 1–2 form a harami; bar 3 closes beyond bar 1’s open in the reversal direction.

Reading the value

Pattern indicators return a flag, not a level: +1 bullish, -1 bearish, 0 absent. They are zero on most bars by design, so treat them as event triggers rather than as something to smooth or cross.
